He had been reading and chanting for hours.
As he spoke the words on each successive page the power became more palpable around him.
He had read so many ancient words that he no longer even knew what he was saying.

He stumbled through the final word and looked to the next page. No words, only a drawing of a devil.
He began to reach for the page when the image blinked and its mouth stretched into a horrid smile.
