Today would be the day. Felix was sure that this day, this perfect day, would be the one when he found his perfect mate.
He wasn’t single from lack of trying. Mother had always said he was special and would require an equally special person to complete him.
He had tried the clubs, the gyms, even dating services but all had proven fruitless. Now he was left with no recourse but to sit in the park feeding pigeons, waiting for his future mate.
So many people went to the park every day he couldn’t understand how he had overlooked such a cornucopia of potential mates.
He pulled on his best suit and after a final polish, his best shoes.
Felix fluffed his hair into the perfect coiffure and then applied the finishing touches to his makeup. He was proud to wear makeup. It takes a special man to be bold enough to adorn his face.
He grabbed theĀ bouquet he had arranged for his future mate and headed to the park.
Felix found a bench near the densest part of the woods and lowered himself onto it. His bouquet of balloons floated overhead to entice a mate.
He patted his pocket and felt the syringe. Soon the perfect person would come. Soon he would present them with his bouquet and with a swift jab they would be his. He would drag them into the woods where they would at last become one. Today would be the day.
