I get it, you don’t want to deal with the monolithic shopping experience of Amazon, Smashwords, or Barnes&Noble.
I’ve got the solution – get your ebooks right here. (non Apple – sorry you’ll need to go to the iTunes store for those)
Descriptions of each book are available on my Published Works Page
Choose to purchase the book you want below and click on the cover image. You’ll be sent to Paypal to complete the purchase and be directed to a zip file of all the docs upon completion of purchase.
Unfortunately since there is a download associated with the purchase, you can only purchase one book at a time. If you desire multiple, it will require multiple visits to Paypal – sorry about that but I’m limited by the system.
Load your files to your e-reader using the directions below.
Enjoy your book and then go review it on Goodreads or somewhere. It’s YOUR ebook now. You don’t have to worry about Amazon removing it from your device or telling you that you can’t loan it to a friend – go for it. The only limitation is that you may NOT resell the files without my express permission. My lawyer needs some new expensive shoes so please don’t make me sick him on you for selling my books without permission.
Thanks for reading!

HOW TO LOAD YOUR EBOOK
Here’s how to go about getting an ebook into your e-reading device when you haven’t bought it from that reader’s own maker/sponsor (like Amazon for the Kindle family, Barnes & Noble for the Nook readers or Kobo for the Kobo readers).
Amazon et al will automatically ship your purchase to your device. Since you’re buying it here you’ll need to do a little more work. It’s worth it though because YOU own the file and it can’t be taken away at the whim of a big online provider or worse disappear if the provider goes belly up.
I’m going to assume you know how to connect your device to your computer and how to navigate the drive. I also assume you know how to unzip a file on your computer.
First, download the zip file. You should have used the Books section of this page to by your book and been directed to your zip file. Put that on your hard disk in a convenient place like a Download folder or your Desktop.
Open Windows Explorer and find the folder where you placed the zip file.
Next, find file.zip and extract the files. This will create a folder called <bookname> (the same as the title of the book)
You’ll find several files within this extracted folder with the following extensions:
.mobi – work with all Kindles.
.epub – work with all Nooks, Kobo, and almost every other e-reader and almost all ebook reading apps.
.pdf – works on most ereaders but are best on a computer or tablet.
.jpg – the cover just for your reference.
Now for the fun part – getting it onto your device.
GENERAL (most generic devices)
Attach your e-reader, tablet or phone to your computer and mount it as a drive:
Consult your manufacturer’s docs to find the correct document folder in your device:
Drop your downloaded ebook file into it.
LOADING ONTO KINDLE
Grab your Kindle and a USB cable
Connect your Kindle to your PC with a USB cable.
Find title.mobi and drag it to your Kindle’s ‘Documents’ folder (not any of its subfolders)
Alternately if you use Kindle you can use an app to ‘Send to Kindle’.
It removes all the hassle of side loading and allows you to download the mobi file and then with a single click send it to your device.
Copy and Paste, or Drag and Drop downloaded PDF or EPUB files into the My Documents folder on the Nook drive or the MyNookColor/my files/books folder
Go to My Library on the Nook, hit View My Documents, and then hit Check for New Content.
Select one of the files you sideloaded into My Documents and press Select to open it.
Connect your eReader to your computer and then drag and drop books into your eReader library
Viola! Your book is now on your device and available to read.
