your de Wight Stuff monthly update

I’ve been very remiss in keeping up my blog and other aspects of my connection with you all over the past year. Let’s just say that, like everyone else, I’ve been living in crazy times.

I want to start making a monthly update a feature of my blog so that my followers can know what the heck is going on.

If you follow me on social media, you probably already know that Alien Bane is back on track and has surpassed 83K words – but that’s only about the 3/4 mark. Things are looking up for the crew of the FAS Manta as they work to stave off an alien invasion. There’s been hardship, loss and even a few victories and personal joys but their end goal is still an iffy mark.

I plan to have this novel finished this year – honest, besides if I don’t I have a friend who will probably never stop badgering me about it.  It’s the second of the three planned stories surrounding Free Agent Malbane and it is definitely the largest one.

I’m also working on some Kindle Vella stories – currently I have a robot comedy that only has 4 parts so far but I think I like it enough to at least have one story arc if not a series from it.

I want to do another Flashes of Darkness style book in the Vella app, serializing the flash fiction there instead of in individual books. That’s not in the works until Alien Bane is done.

I have a few projects in the wings once Alien Bane concludes:

  1. Monstrous World, a series of short stories set in a world where another dimension of monsters and nightmare have blended with our own;
  2. Circuit Space, the robot comedy;
  3. an unnamed short to novella length piece inspired by a picture of a crow and cat from my Facebook feed that centers around a pair of witch’s familiars who must go cross country on a quest to rescue her while learning to get along;
  4. Flashes of Darkness planned serial.

That’s a lot of irons in the fire and you’ll be the first to know what’s happening as time goes on.

Life in Las Vegas is hot, hot, hot – no, not the lifestyle – the weather! If you’ve never been to the southwest desert in the heat of summer you don’t know hot. But as I chose to be here, I’m not complaining.

If you want to check out the Kindle Vella comedy – it’s at this link: CIRCUIT SPACE

So until next month, stay safe and healthy. Thanks for following me, it means the world to me. I couldn’t do this without the support of my readers.

Thanks for reading,

Ed
